Lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, Aderemi Oseni, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election for Oyo South Senatorial District, securing victory in all 99 wards across the district.

Oseni, who currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), won across the nine local government areas that make up the senatorial district in what party members described as a peaceful, transparent, and well-attended exercise.

The primary election recorded a significant turnout of APC members, with party faithful participating actively in the voting process amid widespread celebrations following the announcement of the results.

Speaking shortly after casting his vote at Community High School, Elenusonso, Ward 7 in Ido Local Government Area, Oseni expressed gratitude to party members for their overwhelming support and confidence in his aspiration.

He emphasized the need for unity within the party ahead of the general election, assuring members that immediate steps would be taken to reconcile stakeholders and strengthen cohesion across the district.

According to him, disagreements during party primaries are natural in a democratic process and should not be allowed to divide members.

“Disagreement over the nomination of candidates in a political party as large as the APC is expected and normal. We are one family, and whatever misunderstanding that may have arisen during the process will be resolved amicably,” he said.

Oseni also commended the peaceful conduct of the primary election and the impressive participation of party members across the nine local government areas, describing the exercise as a reflection of internal democracy and the growing strength of the APC in Oyo South Senatorial District.

He further pledged to provide inclusive leadership and maintain sustained engagement with party stakeholders, stressing that the unity and collective interest of the APC would remain his top priority.
