Hon. Aderemi Oseni, member representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has redeemed his pledge towards the installation of a solar power system at the Anfaani Muslim Community Central Mosque in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, the lawmaker released the sum of ₦5 million to support the project, fulfilling a commitment he made to the mosque.
The statement noted that the funds have been handed over for the project, while implementation and management remain solely under the authority of the mosque’s central committee in line with its established leadership structure.
Ayodele described the intervention as a reflection of Oseni’s continued dedication to community development, humanitarian causes, and support for religious institutions.
Speaking on the donation, Oseni said contributing to projects that enhance worship centres and promote communal growth is both a privilege and a responsibility.
“I am pleased to support the Anfaani Muslim Community Central Mosque with ₦5 million for its solar power project. Assisting institutions committed to faith and community advancement is a meaningful responsibility,” he said.
The lawmaker, who is also the APC senatorial candidate for Oyo South ahead of the 2027 general elections, urged individuals to seize every opportunity to make a positive impact on society.
He further expressed hope for lasting peace, unity, and progress across communities, while praying for continued growth and strength for religious institutions.
“May Almighty God bless our communities with peace, strengthen our religious institutions, and prosper every effort aimed at promoting faith, unity, and humanity,” he added.
