It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of our dearly beloved royal father, His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland. Just a few days ago, we gathered in celebration of his birthday, a life filled with grace, wisdom, and a reign that radiated peace, dignity, and progress across Ibadanland and beyond.

It was a moment to honour his rich legacy, never knowing it would be our final earthly tribute to his noble soul. Kabiyesi was not just a traditional ruler, he was a moral compass, a guardian of our heritage, and a stabilizing force in the land. His presence commanded respect, and his leadership fostered unity, growth, and cultural pride.

As a son of the land and a servant of the people, I am personally pained by this loss. His wise counsel and fatherly blessings will be deeply missed. The void left behind cannot be filled, but his legacy will endure.

May Almighty God grant him eternal rest and strengthen the royal family, the Olubadan-in-Council, and the good people of Ibadanland in this trying time.

Today, I join millions of sons and daughters of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and indeed the entire Yoruba race in celebrating the birthday of our highly revered monarch, His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Your Majesty, your reign has brought dignity, peace, and a renewed sense of pride to Ibadanland. As a custodian of culture and tradition, you have continued to uphold the cherished values of our forebears, while embracing modern governance with wisdom and foresight. In your words and actions, you exemplify royalty with humility, leadership with compassion, and tradition with purpose.

Your contributions to the unity and progress of Ibadan and Oyo State cannot be overstated. Under your watch, Ibadan has not only remained peaceful but has also grown in social harmony and cultural renaissance. You have been a symbol of stability in times of uncertainty and a moral compass for both the old and young.

As a proud son of Ibadanland and a servant of the people, I am deeply inspired by your fatherly counsel, your unwavering dedication to justice, and your unwavering commitment to the development of our people. Your Majesty, you are not just a traditional ruler; you are a beacon of hope, a bridge between generations, and a pillar of integrity.
